Ingredients:
1️ box cake mix (yellow, red velvet or devils food work well)
1 cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1-2 tbsp water
Filling of your choice - chocolate chips, jam, pudding, etc.
Melted chocolate for decorating
Directions:
In a mixer bowl, add cake mix, flour, oil and eggs. Beat until a ball forms. If it is too thick, add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until well mixed.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out a portion of the dough to 1/8 thickness. Cut out circles using a drinking glass or circular cookie cutter. Once the circles are created, place a teaspoon or less of the filling into the middle of the circle. Fold up one third side of the circle, then a 2nd side, overlapping the first side, then bring up the 3rd side, under the first flap. Each flap should have one side over and one side under to ensure that the flaps stay closed during baking.
Bake at 350°F on cookie sheet covered with parchment paper for 15 minutes. Allow to cool before decorating. Keep in a air tight container.
