Ingredients:
3-4 pitas cut in half
1 lb ground lamb, beef, or combo (lamb recommended)
2 eggs
1 tsp of cumin
3/4-1 tsp of garlic powder
Dash of cinnamon
Fresh parsley chopped
1/2 yellow onion chopped
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450° F.
Mix all ingredients together except for pita.
Stuff mixture into pita halves and then cut pita into halves again into quarters.
Cook exposed sides of meat in a frying pan with 1T olive oil for 1-2 minutes on each side until seared and browned.
Place pita quarters on greased baking sheet or parchment paper. Lightly brush pita with olive oil. Bake pita for 10 minutes until browned.
Eat hot and enjoy! Best enjoyed with tachina!
