Cabbage Soup


2 Marrow Bones

1 Small Head of Cabbage

1 Small Can of Tomato Sauce

1 Tomato

1 Carrot, diced

2 Apples, peeled and diced

Juice of 1 Lemon

Sugar (to taste)

Salt (to taste)


Place bones in large soup pot, cover with water and simmer for one hour. Skim. Add cabbage, onion, tomato sauce, tomato, carrots, apples and lemon juice. Add salt and sugar, to taste. Simmer 2-3 hours for rich broth.
