Hamantaschen

Ingredients:

2 C All Purpose Flour

2 t Baking Powder

1/2 t Salt

1/2 C Margarine, softened

1 Egg

1 t vanilla

2 T Orange Juice or water

Directions:

In medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

In large bowl, cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg, vanilla and orange juice or water. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Cover with plastic wrap or tight cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Pre-heat oven to 375F.

Remove dough from refrigerator and roll out to 1/4" thickness on a lightly floured surface.

Using a glass cup or cookie cutter, cut out circles. Add 1/2 teaspoon of jam, jelly, chocolate or other filling in middle. Fold into triangles.

Bake on baking paper for 15 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
